CSA is a model that connects you to your food, the land, and with those who tend the soil. It allows you to place your food dollar directly in the hands of a family farm you know and that follows farming practices that respect the health and nutritional value of you, your family, the farmer, and the environment.
As a member of our local community, you can purchase a "share" of our farm for the season. CSA members provide monetary support early in the season when we need it most. In return, once the harvest season begins, our farm shares its nutritious and fresh produce as it ripens. When you become a member of our CSA program, you have direct and convenient access to our freshly harvested, Certified Organic fruits and vegetables each week. CSA members are our priority -- any limited quantity produce items we have will be provided to our CSA members ahead of other customers (including our self-serve farm stand).
What To Expect
Full Season Share delivery season runs from June 4 through October 15, 2020 (20 weeks) First Half of Season Share delivery runs from June 4 through August 6, 2020 (10 weeks)
Flexibility. Since we know many families go on vacation sometime during the summer or just get behind on their veggie consumption and we want you to get your monies worth and have flexibility, we deliver to you 18 times over the 20 week period. For half season, delivery is 9 times over the 10 week period. You just let us know what weeks you don’t want delivery. If you want delivery every week, please pay an additional $30 for each extra week.
Staples and Variety. Our focus is fresh greens and along with other staple and popular items. You can expect a fresh salad green, a cook-able green, a bag of microgreens, along with a variety of seasonal vegetables and fruits.
Customization. We email out an anticipated list of what you will receive a few days before each week’s delivery, along with some recipes and tips for storage and use of some of the items. If there’s an item you don’t like or aren’t willing to try that week, you may email us back and ask us to substitute something else in its place.
Convenience. To make it as convenient as possible for you to enjoy your CSA membership, we offer free delivery to your home!
Delivery is Thursdays, afternoon/evening (approximately between 5-8pm). If that doesn't work for you, you may pick-up your share at our farm during the same time.
We deliver to Berrien Springs, Benton Harbor, Saint Joseph, Stevensville, Buchanan, Baroda, and Niles areas. If you live outside of this vicinity, please contact us.
Your produce will come in a wax box that you need to leave out for exchange each week. You need to be able to refrigerate your produce promptly upon delivery to ensure freshness. If you will not be home when we deliver, you may leave out a cooler with an icepack for us to put your produce in to keep cool until you return.
How to Sign Up
Sign-up is first-come first-serve as we have a limited number of shares available for the season. Please note, first half season membership does not guarantee second half of season availability.
Thank you for partnering with our farm! We look forward to providing you with quality produce at your doorstep.
