Icelandic lamb sheepskin from one of our sheep that lived out its best life at Wild Coyote Farm. The sheepskin was tanned traditionally at Driftless Traditional Tannery in Wisconsin. This hide is tanned naturally and responsibly, without the use of heavy metals or harsh chemicals, and will not have the stark white leather of factory produced chemical hides, but rather retains its natural character.
This sheepskin has very soft white wool that is thick. Icelandic wool is very soft and unique and the hides are supple. This sheepskin measures 31” x 21” and has two tiny nicks. The wool is felted on most of it so the locks don’t hang well but instead it is like a thick cushion. It would work very well trimmed for a seat cushion but not for hanging display. Add this one of a kind heirloom sheepskin to your house.
