Icelandic & Romanov & hair Sheep
Our sheep play an integral part to our soil health and fertility for our vegetable production. Their primary purpose is for soil health, along with fiber, breeding stock, and nutritious meat. They are all raised on pasture year-round, moved daily in an intensive management style, grass-fed on certified organic or transitional organic land, offered 16 free choice organic minerals, and cared for with love. Best for the sheep, the land, the environment, and you.

The hair sheep we have are originally out of Greg Judy’s farm - they are extremely parasite resistant and easy keepers. Their average lambing rate (live now at a couple months old) is 2.7, unassisted, on pasture. These animals have never needed any dewormers or anything.
Our Icelandic sheep are registered and pedigrees can be viewed on the CLRC website. We have AI genetics and have been selecting for parasite resistant stock that lamb easily on pasture and produce quality meat. Their average lambing rate (live now at a couple months old) is 1.4, on pasture.
Our Romanov sheep are the most diverse available in the US with six unrelated lines. They have very high fecundity and rams should be bred into your commercial production to increase lambing rates. Many have triplets even as one winter ewes.
